Split the children into groups of 3 to 6. Provide each group with a diagram or sequence of images and ask them to explain what is happening – what’s the story?
The images could represent a scientific process, historical event, or character’s journey. The children must work together to explain what is happening.
To make this more challenging you could give the pictures in the wrong order.
Remember to provide the groups with sentence stems to use and key vocabulary to support their explanations!
