Sharing your worries…

How do you share worries as a family?

One of my friends has decided to take the bull by horns as it were and has introduced ‘Mental health Mondays’ into their family routine. This means they sit down as a family and they all share their worries and anything that is getting them ‘down’.

This is such a great idea. Not only does it raise the priority of good mental health and the notion that it is good to talk about your feelings but their children are seeing two fantastic role models talking about things that are bothering them. (Obviously they share smaller worries that don’t burden the children.)

There are many ways for you to share feelings as a family. What do you do as a family to share worries and feelings?
