Good examples

With all of these things we need to make sure we show a range of good quality examples to ensure the children see a range. These could be in speeches, big occasions, everyday discussions and interactions.

Make sure you make full use of the example by analysing it to see why it is a good example. You can use the oracy framework to judge what has been used and why it is good.

If you can’t find any good examples via good old Google or You tube then of course create your own! The advantage of doing this is that you will show exactly what you want the way you want it portrayed.

As with all examples you might choose to display a bad example and unpick what would make it better.

Remember that above all else YOU are the model for your pupils all the time. Make sure you use the vocabulary and sentence stems that you want the children to be using. Model all of the strands including the physical strands as these will be picked up from your modelling.
