Fed – in facts!

Provide your groups with a stimulus such as a picture or artifact and a question to answer through discussion such as, ‘what is it?’ or ‘what does it show?’

While the children are talking feed the groups with facts at regular intervals in order to guide and enrich their discussions.

Important things to consider before starting this activity is who will be responsible for sharing the new facts? How will the children in each group ensure everyone has had a chance to share their opinion and be heard?
